Areas of Practice
TREATMENTS
I treat children and adults with learning difficulties, anxiety, autism, ADHD, and mood disorders. I specialize in diagnosing and treating children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). I primarily work with children and their families to improve social skills, decrease problem behaviors, and learn to cope with anxiety. Some evidence-based treatment programs I currently use are:
Camp Cope-a-Lot, Coping Cat, and Childhood Anxiety Tales—anxiety
Facing Your Fears—anxiety and ASD
Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children, Adolescents, and Adults—anxiety, mood disorders, etc.
Parent Management Training (PMT)—disruptive behaviors
Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior (The RUBI Autism Network)—ASD
The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®)—ASD and social skills
Children’s Friendship Program—ASD and social skills
Living Well on the Spectrum—ASD
Behavior Supports for Families and SChools
I often collaborate with a child's school to put behavior supports or plans into place so a child can learn and perform at their full potential. Many children with ASD, ADHD, mood disorders, or anxiety receive messages from school or peers that they are not "good students." Let’s change that.
Targeting the most important behaviors
Using positive behavior principles
